It is the little things that mean the most

There are many reasons why I love my job, as well as the many little things that happen throughout a wedding that we are photographing that remind me why we stay in this business. I think my favorite moment of each wedding is, after we are finally able to show the slide show of wedding day highlights, showing pictures from when the bride is getting her hair and makeup done,to the cutting of the cake, as I look around and see the smiles, and sometimes even tears, from the guests, it's that feeling of success that we were able to capture moments in time that only happens once in a life time. We have had the privilege of photographing Krystin and John's wedding recently, and received a hand written card from Krystin's Mother thanking us for our work. It felt necessary to show off to the world that an old fashion, handwritten card is so meaningful. It is not unusual for us to receive thank you cards from our brides, but when we get something from a mother or father thanking us for what we have done it really hits home, it is not something we expect and that is why we appreciate it so much. We are extremely thankful to receive such a beautiful card. We are so lucky to be able to be a part of such a special day.

The card reads:
Candace, I can't even begin to thank you enough for all that you did to make Krystin's day so beautiful & special. you are exactly the photographer that Krystin and John needed..Someone who could take beautiful artistic pictures & still understand their need to enjoy their day. The Pictures are AMAZING! What you do is truly an ART! Words cannot being to describe how beautiful the wedding was but fortunately we have your photographs to always remind us.
Thank you so much
Rhoda
